Here’s how she describes the inspiration for the designs:
The Topo Collection began as an exploration of three-dimensional organic forms that evolved into a playful relationship between micro and macro worlds. Ultimately I arrived at the concept of distilling the designs into a series of individual layers, thereby shifting free-flowing elements into separate, segmented parts. An imaginary landscape, or topography, began to surface. My hope is for these designs to subtly capture the imagination—that one might, if only for a moment, envision a smaller version of themselves scaling a vast and seductive terraced landscape, only to emerge having gained an appreciation for the grander, patterned order at work. www.stephaniedyer.net
